The brightness is very detailed and very good. The curvature of the montior is unique and very nice for viewing. ColorAccuracy is at its top point. Responsiveness is on point. No problem with flicker.

Great resolution. Clear sharp picture. It makes you feel like you're in the screen. Colors really pop and the clarity is out of this world. Definitely unmatched in my opinion. I've never seen such a great picture. Definitely get your money's worth you won't be disappointed with this purchase.

This is a great productivity monitor, that said I had the same issue with my 40” Samsung S85TH on Mac - Thunderbolt would connect briefly, then drop, and my Wi-Fi would also stop working. What fixed it for me was this exact sequence: 1. Connect Ethernet from your router/switch directly to the LAN port on the S85TH. 2. Connect the Mac to the monitor over Thunderbolt. 3. On the Mac, go to System Settings > Network. 4. Find the Ethernet/LAN connection and make sure it is actually enabled and active. This step was important for me - just plugging Ethernet into the monitor was not enough. 5. If available in the monitor settings, set USB priority to favor data/high speed rather than display quality. 6. Power-cycle the monitor and reconnect Thunderbolt if needed. After I enabled the LAN connection in macOS, my Thunderbolt connection became stable and the monitor started working properly again as a one-cable setup. I can’t say this is a confirmed universal fix, but if you’re seeing the same Thunderbolt dropout + Wi-Fi issue, it’s definitely worth trying before returning the monitor.

never had a problem with them and what they stand for a really signifies that it's a good buy the color and the resolution were so high quality I thought I was in the movie itself the brightness was so bright I had to wear shades in a joking way but the curvature of the TV was so slick and narrow that it made itself stand out in my living room and the responsiveness of the controls we're incredible

The monitor's display, curve and size is great, I'm impressed with the build quality. The problem immediately comes when I try to hook it up to my M5 Macbook. It will not stay connected with the USB-C Thunderbolt 5 cable for longer than 30s, the screen will go black and I have to re-select the input manually. It's extremely frustrating and limits a huge featureset of the monitor. I'm able to work around this by using the HDMI cable, but this leads to a different problem where if I try connecting just the USB-C cable for KVM-access - it disables my WiFI (I guess tries to use the onboard LAN?) I've tried changing the USB-C source in the OSD settings to no avail. So basically I'm left with just a dumb widescreen monitor and there's cheaper ones around for that zero-functionality. Overall I'm disappointed in this monitor. I really hope Samsung releases a firmware update to fix the problems soon.

Monitor not able to use it with thunderbolt usb on mac which was the only reason I upgraded and one of the points Samsung sells on their page high connectivity with just one cable, which doesn't work with mac OS it seems I am not the only one with this issue and support has no idea on how to solve there is no software update to solve it. Please don't buy and samsung don't launch a product if it doesn't work as intended.

This monitor is so amazing. But where is the Mac firmware update? The screen goes black after a couple minutes and can not re connect via thunderbolt 5. If you use HDMI it’s flawless. But fix the thunderbolt 5!!! It’s clearly a firmware software issue. FIX IT ASAP!!! There are tons of comments, messages all over about this.

It has severe issues on my M1Pro and M5 Max macson Thunderbolt 5. It seems to connect and completely fall apart on the handshake. The screen goes black, flickers on and off a few times, then macOS fails to recognize it. It works perfectly fine on windows and linux. They need to fix this with firmware otherwise don't waste your money

Tried it with two macs - M4 Pro and M4 Max. The TB5 connection is super unstable, display blacks out every few seconds. The audio output is fixed, i.e. you can't change volume from function keys. I'd explore further, but the whole point of this monitor is that it reduces clutter because it has TB5. Which it cannot do. Samsung support has been completely useless. Now I'm fighting to return this and them not charging me a restocking fee for what is essentially a defective not as advertised expensive hardware.

Been waiting to get an upgraded monitor for a long time. Have done all the research on functionality, color, refresh, resolution, etc etc. Got the monitor hooked up relatively easily, but was very disappointed to find that there is no accessible firmware anywhere as of today (June 29 2026). I have a MacBook Pro I use personally and a PC I use for work, so being able to have the necessary firmware to run both computers is important to me. While I can connect through HDMI for the time being, my Thunderbolt 5 connection is terrible and it is clear the Mac and the monitor just can't communicate with the current config. If you intend on running this with a Mac, you should probably wait until there is an active update. Using the monitor software from Samsung should be an easy fix, but even after finding that the software still won't enable you to update the hardware. Hardware is expensive these days, and to purchase a product without being able to truly use it the way it is intended is less than optimal. Side note - everything I am currently reading says that firmware can be updated via USB stick. (wonderful). However nothing is available under this model anywhere under the Samsung website.
